1- Alessandro Pro White Nail Polish (Germany) – I think this is a great idea behind the purpose of this nail polish. It is to brighten yellow stained nails as a result of wearing too much nail polish or even smoking! As I don’t continuously wear that much nail polish and my nails aren’t yellow, the polish does leave a slight blue tint which may or may not bother you. This is so that the blue tones counteracts the yellow tones. For now, I am going to use this as a base coat or even a top coat if I want a tint of blue or just the lovely glossy effect it leaves.
2- DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (Japan) – This is a water-soluble deep cleansing oil which helps to remove makeup. Simply dispense into dry hands and massage onto dry face to dissolve makeup, dirt and other impurities. Then rinse it off. After reading this, it seems to be like magic oil just ‘dissolving’ the makeup. I have never used a oil based makeup remover before and I am quite hesitant to use it especially when my skin type is combinational. This is when I have an oily T-zone prone to spots. However I will give it a go.
3- All for Eve Eve’s Balm – Multipurpose balms are a must. This herbal/oil smelling balm is great for use on under nourished chapped skin so handy to keep in your bag, especially in the winter months. As well as using this for areas such as elbows, knees, heels, knuckles etc it also contains a cute little mirror. So no need to add another compact mirror into your bag- we all know how heavy women’s bags can be!
4- Vera Valenti L’ombre a Paupiere Maragrita (Spain) – First impressions of this compact was that the packaging looked cheap as the information sticker at the back was not stuck on properly and the plastic container was like that of a kids play makeup set. The plus is that I like the universal gradual gradient of brown shades in the palette. I like my neutrals shades and so it is suitable for all skin tones. The greens finish of the design but aren’t particularly my favourite colours to put on my eyelids.
5- Lipcote (UK) – First time trying a lip coat, so that is exciting. The packaging is soo cute but that’s just my weird obsession with the appearance of products. Staying power with lippies are great but when I opened this, it smelt very strong just like nail polish or nail polish remover. The ingredients contain Isopropyl alcohol, Benzyl alcohol and Cinnamyl alcohol= a recipe for being tipsy?! On my lips it initially stung and left an extremely bitter taste (Yes I lick my lips occasionally haha). I don’t know if I will come to like it but for now, I am ok taking my time to re-applying my lippies throughout the day.
6- Glossy Box Lipstick in Glossy Pink – Glossybox seem to be expanding their beauty range because previously they brought out a blusher brush. This lipstick is more impressive than the brush as the packaging is tres chic. The shade ‘Glossy Pink’ is a nice pink as it isn’t too bright. However when applied it is highly pigmented which is great. I wonder what they will bring out next.
What I think – This box was put together for the theme of the London Olympics 2012 the ‘international superstars’ edition. The products are brands from around the world which haven’t necessarily been heard of before.
Overall this box was good and I know I will use the balm the most. I must say I am so happy when I see the box get delivered to my door because you never know what goodies there are.
