Murad UK has launched in Leeds!

Last week I attended the patriotic launch of MuradUK in House of Fraser Leeds, 4th July!!

I was so excited to attend because I have heard so much about the brand and was intrigued to find out more. This counter is the first one outside of America apart from London- ‘MuradSpace’. Skin consultations were done and cleverly there was a ‘reveal imager’ equipment which was used to see the skins condition in detail. This scared me a little, but in a good way… if that is possible. It showed the skin pigmentation, skin redness, oils etc. This is great for helping you make informed decisions on how to improve your skin.
Claire Cooper from Hollyoaks was there at the launch, there’s a picture of us on my instagram (@mintyessence), and the mayor made an appearance too.

The one that appealed to me was the Gentle Blemish treatment gel from the Blemish Control range. I am really keen on trying this to see if it really does reduce blemishes from those pesky spots.

I was kindly given the Summer Sun Essentials pack which I must say contains a gorgeous smelling pomegranate lip protector with SPF15. It comes with an Oil-free sunscreen broad spectrum SPF30, and essential-C Cleanser and an Advanced Active Radiance Serum. Having dark skin does not exclude me from protecting my skin from the damaging sun rays. This set helps to reduce hyper-pigmentation whilst preventing sun damage. Win! win! These will definitely making an appearance in my travel/sun essentials for my holiday.

I am very impressed with Murad so far especially finding out the background of Dr Howard Murad himself and how he started making these products. He is one of LA’s top dermatologists who even did biopsies on his own arm for the purposes of his product making. Did you know these products are NOT tested on animals? You do now 😉
